Jenna Hughes

Jenna grew up in Pittsburgh, where she was trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop at PineTree Performing Arts Center. She studied under various teachers before and during college, including Alan Obuzor (former soloist at Pittsburgh Ballet Theater and founder of Texture Contemporary Ballet Company), Heather Gerlach (formerly of Dance Alloy), and Sally Sherman (formerly of Dance Alloy). Jenna attended Grove City College and majored in Biblical and Religious Studies. She was head choreographer in a number of student-produced dance shows, and choreographed 10 pieces for college students, ranging from beginner to advanced. She has taught preschool and adult ballet at the Grove City, PA YMCA; ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and Irish dance at PineTree Performing Arts Center; and ballet and tap at Bella School of Dance in 2013. Jenna is thrilled to be returning to teach at Bella after getting married in 2013 and moving to St. Louis, MO for a year.
